A tribute to our fathers who came to Norway in the 1970s.
FRAVÆRENDE HELT is a theatre experience created by siblings Rohat and Pinar Ciftci. This is the story of our absent heroes, Norway’s entire forgotten generation, told through their children’s eyes.
A musical journey through longing and reconciliation, lifting the voices of a whole generation of children who are still searching for the fathers they never quite had, and perhaps never fully can have.
1 hour (no interval).
The production premiered at Rommen Scene on 31 October 2025 and is a part of the repertoire of Scenekunstbruket (the Norwegian Performing Arts Network).
The play was shortlisted for the National Ibsen Award 2026.
